Jacky Zegers (1972) lives and works in Arnhem (NL). Her work consists mainly of sculptures and paintings. Working as a math teacher, she gradually came to realize that her life could no longer consist solely of formulas and numbers. In 2006, she decided to follow her heart and become an artist. As a self-taught artist, she draws her inspiration from nature. The symmetry and patterns found there find their way into her work. She cannot hide her love for bright colors and exaggerated shapes. Her work radiates positivity, which is exactly the intention. With her work, she wants to encourage people to pause for a moment and enjoy the moment. She wants to draw attention to the beautiful and carefree things in life. Life is for having fun, loving, and enjoying. With other people and animals. You can see that in her art, which shows and makes you feel how beautiful life is, with a wink.
