Description

Hergé, Le Feuilleton Intégral: 1937-1939 (7) - Tintin book - French Edition - Hard Cover - Moulinsart / Casterman - 465 pages

This seventh volume of "The Complete Serialized Stories" covers the years 1937 and 1938 and reproduces the serialized version of "The black Island" in "Le Petit Vingtième", which, exceptionally, features a few solid color panels in the episode, as well as the second adventure of Jo and Zette, published almost simultaneously by "Coeurs Vaillants". Still appearing in the Brussels supplement, Les Exploits de Quick et Flupke are now becoming rarer. Between the upheavals of 1936 and the first rumblings of 1938, 1937 appears, aside from the ongoing drama in Spain, to be a quiet year for Europe. It would be the last. Although chained to his drawing board, Hergé seized the opportunity presented by the conclusion of *The Broken Ear* to free himself by granting himself a short break in England. It is some of these impressions that would infuse the settings of his new episode, the first Tintin adventure to take place entirely within the familiar landscapes of Europe.

Book Contents:

  • The New Adventures of Tintin and Snowy: The black Island
  • Quick and Flupke: Brussels Street Kids
  • Jo, Zette and Jocko: The h.22 stratonef
