The Secret - Auguste Rodin Collection Figurine -  Parastone - 10 cm

Rodin was fascinated by the expressiveness and symbolism of hands. In his famous sculpture “The Cathedral,” for example, the hands reflect the majestic Gothic architectural style. These two graceful hands form a preliminary study for “The Secret,” a marble sculpture in which two right hands clasp an abstract, rectangular “secret.” (1906-1909)

Auguste Rodin (1840-1917-France) Between Romanticism and Impressionism, this idiosyncratic Frenchman created some of the most famous pieces in sculpture.

Attributes: sculpture of two hands reaching toward each other and gently clasping or touching at the fingertips. The hands are intricately modeled, showcasing detailed fingers, knuckles, and a sense of delicate movement. The sculpture is crafted from a dark, bronzed material with a smooth, polished finish. The base of the sculpture appears slightly textured, giving the impression of solid support.
